“Poems from Ukraine”, selected Ukrainian poems in English translations recorded by international artists. A set of video and audio poems of contemporary Ukrainian poets that convey all the beauty and the pain and the strength of a country torn apart by the war.

Actors Call

We invite international artists to take part in Poems From Ukraine project and record a video or audio of a Ukrainian poem in English translation. Just fill the short form below and we’ll get in touch with you and send you the selected poems to choose from.

The final videos and audios of poems will be published at ProEnglish Theatre of Ukraine youtube and soundcloud, sent to the media and partners worldwide, the world should hear.

*think about quality recordings when you do, look at the examples above, think about good camera, background and lighting for the video, mic for the sound – if it’s the video; and a good mic for a sound if it’s the audio. Poems are beautiful, let’s get transmit that beauty in a proper way.

DAN Vynohradov

Dan graduated from Kyiv University of Culture, he is a theatre and film actor. While studying at the university, Dan acted in TV series and commercials. Since January 2022, acts at ProEnglish Theatre. Dan is a brave and ambitious actor, never afraid of tough roles. Played a gay soldier in “Love at times” and several various characters in “War. Texts. Ukraine.” project – stage readings of modern Ukrainian plays in English. His biggest part so far is HE, main character from “Naïve Experiments” directed by Alex Borovenskiy. Charismatic and vulnerable HE wins the hearts of the audience with the first appearance on stage.
